Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I miss a check-in by accident?
Nothing is sent. Messages only go out after the number of missed check-ins in a row that you chose, from 3 to 10. Check in once and the count goes back to zero.
What if I'm in hospital or travelling?
Pause your check-ins until a date you choose. You'll get a reminder before each check-in is due once you resume.
What if messages start going out by mistake?
Use emergency cancel in the app. With your password, it stops any messages that haven't been sent yet.
Can my family read my messages?
No. Family & Friends share check-in status only. Messages go to the recipients you choose for each one, and sealed sections open only with the answers you set.
How do recipients get my messages?
By email, and by SMS as well on paid plans. You choose the recipients for every message.
What happens if I delete my account?
Everything is erased: messages, attachments, photos, recipients and your check-in history.
Is this a will?
No. It's a companion to your will: a way to tell people what matters and where things are. Keep your will up to date separately.
